My Story

DSC06336_edited.jpg

I'm a Midwest girl through and through.  I enjoyed my upbringing in one of the most beautiful small towns in Montana called Absarokee.   After graduating high school, I attended North Dakota State College in Fargo, North Dakota.  I loved spending my young adult life in Fargo and to this day, it's still a favorite city of mine (minus the winter months).  I met my husband while in Fargo, North Dakota and we've been on an adventure ever sense which included a few moves with his career.  We enjoyed moving as it kept life exciting as you discovered new places and the best part, meeting new friends.  One of our stops was living on Big Cormorant Lake near Detroit Lakes which gave me a taste and love for "lake living."  The next move brought us to Minneapolis where we decided to embrace the "city life" and live in a refurbished warehouse in downtown Minneapolis.  This move gave me a taste for big city life, including the ability walk to work, restaurants, parks, movie theaters and more.  Minneapolis was a vibrant city that we enjoyed while living/working there.  While in Minneapolis, my parents lived in Arizona and during a visit, we ended up buying a house in retirement community for a rental investment.  After visiting Arizona several times and especially during the cold Minnesota winter months, we fell in love with all that it had to offer and luckily, my husband works for the most amazing bank (Bell Bank) and they were on board with us moving to Arizona.

We moved to Arizona permanently in 2017.  When I first moved to Arizona I thought this state was just one big desert; I was really wrong.  This state is so beautiful and has so many places to visit.  The winter months are absolutely beautiful and I know what you're thinking, what about those summer months.  We'll those did take some getting used to.  You learn to get things done before 9am and you have to reverse your thinking to make travel plans during July and August.

Besides my husband and I, our other family member is our 3-year old Goldendoodle named Murphy.  My husband and I had labs previously and lets just say I didn't prepare myself for the Goldendoodle characteristics.  Murphy is fun, loving, stubborn, independent and gets whatever he wants!

Professional Career

After college, I worked for a few different law firms including a prosecutor's office totaling over 20 years of experience.  I very much enjoyed working in that setting and I learned so much about contracts and law.  When we moved to Arizona, I decided that I was ready for a change and went after my real estate license.  I'm so glad that I had those years in the law because I'm confident in interpreting and drafting documents that pertain to a real estate transaction.
